VOLUNTEER

The Grimshaw Foundation is a registered charity. It receives no public funding and relies on the financial support of like-minded built environment. art and design organisations and individuals to deliver the workshops, talks and resources that benefit young people (aged 11-15) from diverse, underrepresented backgrounds.

Since 2021 we have worked with over 200 students, eight schools and 14 teachers, all with the support of over 50 volunteers. However, with the right advocates, sponsorship, and collaborators, we know we can do so much more.

If you would like to work with the Foundation and find out how you can become an advocate and volunteer please:

Without our volunteers the Foundation work cannot be delivered. In the past two years we have worked with companies, education institutions and individuals who have contributed their time and expertise to our programme of workshops, talks and other activities. From committing to just a few hours or to a year- long programme, we are keen to extend our volunteer network and reach more schools and young people directly.

RIBA + Grimshaw Foundation Annual Art Lecture

The 2024 RIBA + Grimshaw Foundation Annual Art Lecture returns, bringing together the interdisciplinary worlds of art and architecture.

This year the lecture will be given by Guyanese-British sculptor Hew Locke, followed by a conversation and questions with writer and curator Ekow Eshun.

The lecture will take place on Thursday 5th December at the RIBA in London.

Launched in 2022 as a collaboration between RIBA and the Grimshaw Foundation, the lecture series supports the aspirations of the two organisations: elevating creativity as an essential skill for the future and creating opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds to explore and engage with the worlds of art, design, and architecture.
